Blackberry Enterprise Server
BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) is primarily for larger business use.
BES is the ultimate in remote office technology. Using your Blackberry handheld device you are able to access internet, e-mail, messaging, phone and organiser services. If this was not enough you can also access your corporate data from your company's server. In seconds you can view your companies CRM databases, intranet data, scheduling information and you can even allow employees to place orders for parts or goods from locations throughout your organisation. It allows the user to:
Access Corporate Data
Use the Internet and your corporate Intranet securely; access back office systems such as SAP, Oracle, Siebel or Remedy from your handheld device. View corporate data that would otherwise be impossible to access - Have a truly mobile workforce.Collect E-mail
It integrates your BlackBerry handheld through the BlackBerry Internet Service with up to 10 business or personal email accounts eg. Hotmail, Yahoo etc. Your e-mails will be delivered to your e-mail account as well as being sent to your BlackBerry device. All this happens in seconds thanks to the BlackBerry 'Push' technology.Use The Internet
You can surf the internet as you would on your home PC. Go to any of your favourite websites or search the internet using Google, Yahoo or other search engines.Make Phone Calls

It is possible to use Instant Messaging (IM) applications on BlackBerry devices. Stay in touch with your contacts using.
Blackberry Enterprise Server Express
Small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) are now able to download BlackBerry Enterprise Server Express for free. With it, small deployments of BlackBerry smartphones will be able to wirelessly sync e-mail, calendar, contacts, notes and tasks; remotely manage e-mail folders and search through the mail server; book meetings and appointments; check availability and forward calendar attachments; set out-of-office replies; edit Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint files using Documents To Go; and access files stored on the company network or business systems behind the company firewall.
As a free solution, it naturally lacks a significant number of the high-end services offered through the full BlackBerry Enterprise Server software (and even Hosted BlackBerry Services), such as support for IBM Lotus, Domino, Novell and Groupwise platforms, and client-based instant messaging protocols like BB Messenger, AIM, Yahoo and Google Talk. Also, high availability, monitoring, and wireless provisioning are not available.
